Dan Peak has worked as a structural engineer in the entertainment industry for twenty years. His experience began at the Cincinnati-based structural firm Schaefer where his time was split between traditional structural engineering projects and entertainment-focused work. During this period, he designed ride foundations, theater rigging, outdoor events, permanent park structures, and two full-scale stunts for Hot Wheels.

Following a ten-year stint at Schaefer, Dan spent a combined eight years with Clark-Reder Engineering and Skyline Attractions where he honed his engineering skills designing complete roller coasters, temporary structures for major entertainment events, climbing walls, adventure parks, and many other entertainment-focused structures. Clients included many Cedar Fair parks, Disney Parks, Universal Parks, dozens of adventure and trampoline parks, and major event production companies.

Starting in 2023, Dan Peak founded Peak Thrills Engineering and continues to focus his efforts on providing top-tier structural design and consulting services to the entertainment industry. He is currently a licensed professional engineer in forty states.

Dan currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and two sons. When he is not out enjoying the fruits of his labor at parks around the world, Dan enjoys playing disc golf, homebrewing, and traveling as much as possible.

Anya Tyler has dreamed of designing roller coasters from an early age. That passion has since grown to encompass the entire world of amusement parks and attractions. After earning her Mechanical Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines, Anya carved a path into the amusement industry through persistence, networking, and hands-on experience.

Her career began with play structures for water parks, where she gained valuable experience on small teams delivering turnkey attractions. She then moved into wooden coaster design at Great Coasters International before joining Skyline Attractions. In these roles, she supported both mechanical and structural engineering teams while collaborating closely with fabrication crews. Highlights include helping develop GCII’s Mini-llennium Flyer and Infinity Flyer trains, as well as managing the structural fabrication package for InvadR, GCII’s second steel-structured coaster.

Anya later joined CAVU Designwerks as an on-site project manager, where she oversaw the turnkey manufacturing and installation of an out-of-this-world carousel. Stationed on a bustling construction site, she managed the coordination of a highly intricate attraction, integrating detailed engineering requirements with creative theming.

Now at Peak Thrills, Anya combines her technical expertise with practical project management experience to continue bringing unique attractions to life.

Her passion for rides is both professional and personal. Inspired by summers at Kings Island and her family’s mantra of “arms up,” Anya embraces every project with the same spirit she brings to each new adventure—as an engineer, a creative collaborator, and a mom of two, always ready for the ride.
